3/ It's no good covering everything in rainbows if you've got not gay scout to show for it so we end up in the ludicrous position whereby corporate branding is more important than the gay lad who just wants to quietly get on with, I dunno, just being a scout with his mates.
@CptHastings1916 The 2023 Home Secretary is now a leading member of Reform. Meanwhile, the Tory party has changed leadership, changed thinking and changed policy. If you want more of the same then vote for the relics in Reform.
@VintageMrHobbes This also ignores the fact that after decades of violence, some sort of peace was achieved in NI and now new violence has been imported from an alien culture. Why should people have to put up with imported violence just because there was homegrown violence 30 years ago?
I'm so fucking tired yall.
Lesbians (and gays) have been persecuted for hundreds if not thousands of years because we are exclusively same sex attracted. In many countries we are still criminalized, tortured, raped and murdered bc of it.
But the LGBT- "community", that should have our back, and the Pride-movement that literally was started by and for us, now tell us that exclusive same sex attraction doesn't exist, and if you insist that it does, you're a transphobic bigot.
I thought we had progressed beyond the idea that homosexuality is a sin in the west. I thought it was decided that there's nothing wrong or shameful in being gay/lesbian, and loving only the same sex is completely okay.
If you think lesbians can be into males (regardless of how they identify inside their head), ask yourself this;
Why have society tried, and failed, to force homosexuals into opposite-sex relationships? Why was conversion therapy ever even a thing? Why are gays murdered in other countries for being gay?
If lesbians and gays can be opposite-sex attracted, why don't they find an opposite-sex partner, to escape the persecution that society has commited against us, and still commits against us outside of the west?
As a lesbian, I know the answer; homosexuals are NOT opposite-sex attracted, and that's exactly why we are persecuted and an oppressed minority.
It's literally impossible for us to be sexually attracted to the opposite sex, and thousands, if not millions, of gays and lesbians have been abused, criminalized and murdered bc of it.
So when you get on twitter and spout lies like "lesbians can like dick" and "gay men can like pussy", you are spitting every gay and lesbian person who has suffered persecution, right in the face.
You can colonize our language, steal and redefine our words, shame us into silence and label us terfs. Homosexual men and women, ACTUAL gays and lesbians, will continue to exist. But fuck you for setting us back decades in the fight for gay/lesbian acceptance.
You are the new conversion therapists.
@FUDdaily People need to understand how different the cultures these people come from are compared to ours. Our society simply isn’t set up to deal with people from cultures that value life at practically zero. We are defenceless. It’s like letting a fox into a chicken coop.
@ItsTaz1989@FUDdaily@KemiBadenoch I suppose her point is that whilst they may have demanded it, the state should never have agreed to it and she wants to reverse engineer it by removing the different treatment. What we also need though is less immigration to make it harder for these groups to live separately.
For decades, gay activists proved that a man could be feminine and still be a man. TQIA+ ideas often do the opposite. They bring back old stereotypes to define a person's true gender.
@seledka_vodka As a gay man seeing the pride flag fills me with dread. It and the whole pride movement has been taken over by “Queer”and Trans ideology and the flag only represents child abusers, homophobes and misogynists.
I'd love to see what the UK would do if Iran launched a ballistic missile strike on Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Israel.....
Because this is Israel's reality.
What do you think the UK would do?
@ooojulianooooo I wouldn’t call those dark years. KMO was difficult for her, it still has great songs and I enjoyed the tour. We also ahd the Christmas album and shows. She was just bubbling under for a bit.
Mr. Davies,
For a brief, fleeting 10-15 years, WE ALMOST HAD IT. The years between 1998-2012, roughly, we were very close, when no one really gave a damn either way. I remember it distinctly. An enormous shift in attitude’s & acceptance had occurred, after the horrors of being gay in the 80’s to the early-mid 90’s.
I was NOT alone in feeling this, even amongst the upper echelons of the ‘Gay Mafia’ I used to hang around with said the same.
The original aim was EQUALITY & we were, more or less, there.
Then along came identity politics, gender ideology & Que*r Theory, which screwed everything up.
Stonewall’s CEO, Ruth Hunt, said in 2014/15, & I quote, that their shift in focus was “known to be controversial, that it would be difficult, that people would LOSE by that & that herself & the staff thought THAT WAS A PRICE WORTH PAYING.” In other words, they KNEW this would receive pushback, yet were unwilling to listen or engage with those of us who had serious concerns.
A subsequent Stonewall CEO, Nancy Kelley, called lesbians “sexual racists” for not including men in their dating pool.
Michael Cashman called for those who had questions, predominantly women, about this shift to be “defecated upon” & there was “no debate” to be had.
And NOW look where we are.
Look around at the utter mess we’re in.
If you’re going to “look at yourself as an idiot”, at least be aware of WHY you might feel that way & what part you, yourself, played in it.
You cannot cheerlead & encourage an ideology that has caused so much destruction & damage, & then pretend to be flummoxed as to the reasons WHY everything has got so much worse.
Just so we’re clear…
