जब इन्होंने गन्ने के शीरे की जगह, सारा जूस ही एथनॉल को दे दिया और कॉस्मेटिक, फार्मा सेक्टर को अमेरिका से इंपोर्ट को विवश किया, तो आज न तो जनता को उचित मूल्य पर पेट्रोल मिल रहा है, न ही चीनी।

ऐसे मंत्री की विदाई के लिए माहौल लंबे समय से बन रहा था, और अब स्वयं संकेत दे रहे हैं। क्या आवश्यकता थी कि 2030 के टारगेट को 2025 में पूरा करके नाचने की? गाड़ियाँ बनी नहीं, सड़कों पर करोड़ों गाड़ियाँ पुराने इंजन की हैं और इनको छाती ठोकनी थी।

I support the demands of the #ReservationReformAndolan.

I believe in a merit-based system and reservation based only on economic criteria.
However, at the very least, the current reservation system must end, otherwise, India may not become a developed nation even in 500 years.

I normally don't talk about my last name, and I have deliberately removed it from most of my online presence.

But when @saurabhtop said that people should not take pride in their last names, I felt the need to respond.

There is an old saying: if you want to destroy a tree, cut it off from its roots. Eventually, the tree dies.

I don't see a surname merely as a marker of caste. For many people, it is link to ancestry, family history, geography, community and the people who came before them.

With time, the names of our ancestors may be forgotten, but a family name can preserve a small part of that history.

And this distinction matters:

Remembering your roots is not the same as believing that your roots make you superior to someone else.

If our goal is genuinely the annihilation of caste, then we should challenge discrimination, hierarchy and inherited privilege, not necessarily every form of ancestral identity.

We should be careful not to confuse equality with erasure.

A person can reject casteism while still knowing where their family came from. They can respect their ancestors without claiming superiority over another community. They can carry a surname without using it to discriminate.

Annihilating caste-based discrimination should mean removing the hierarchy attached to birth, not forcing people to forget their history.

You don't have to hate your roots to believe that every tree deserves equal respect.

The children of an SC family living next to us studied in top schools because their parents were government teachers. I was a Brahmin girl who studied in a government school because of financial hardship after losing my father at a very young age; my mother was a homemaker.

Today, the girl is a government teacher and the boy works in a Ministry.

So tell me? where is the real inequality?

My point is not about caste; it is about economic inequality and access to resources. A financially well-off family, regardless of caste, can provide better schools, coaching and opportunities to their children.

Reservation should focus more on genuine economic disadvantage and lack of opportunity, not simply caste identity.

Support those who are actually disadvantaged, not a caste label.
