[Live2D Tips] #3
Originally, I intended to share something else this week, but yesterday I was discussing how to make an equalizer halo with a friend, so I decided to change this week’s topic to that instead XD
My initial approach was to use the 3D ring method. However, there were some issues related to the back face and front face, which would require a massive number of masks to solve, and that is definitely not feasible.
So this morning, I tried a more basic approach, using geometry references to create a simple halo. This solution requires very few masks, and I feel the result is sufficient for most cases.
This is just a POC, so it’s still very unpolished. I’ll be using it in one of my upcoming models, and I guarantee it will look way cooler and more luxurious!
Please look forward to it.
As usual, if you don’t mind and find this content helpful, I would really appreciate it if you could follow me!
Hope this sharing helps!

先製作對稱口型,再貼回側面這樣的方式更利於非正比模型口部的準確度。❤️
Creating a symmetrical mouth shape first and then applying it back to the side view helps improve the accuracy of mouth movements for non-front-facing models.❤️

Ever wonder what a Live2D rigger does behind the scenes? ✨
From PSD layer checks and mesh rigging to creating user manuals and showcase videos—every detail counts! It’s a lot of work, but seeing the final result makes it all worth it.🥹💖
