A nice cheap find, a 1 penny Birr Garrison Token (bigger than 2 euro coin). Despite looking like its been in the ground, these tokens are fairly hard to find. They would have been used in garrison canteen in @BarracksBirr 6 in total 1/4d, 1/2d, 1p, 3d, 4d and 6 d.

Speeches were delivered and wreaths were laid at the base of the Memorial at the barracks in Crinkill, Birr. It was the end of the Leinster in 1922 & today we marked the disbandment of the Regiment along with the other Irish Regiments. @MidlandTrib @BirrVintage @UKDefenceDublin
