Finally got round to making a start on my #RC2014 ... I'm making some modules on veroboard and I have to say that I'm very much enjoying it. Quite nostalgic and more fun than drawing PCB traces on a computer screen. Also watching old Columbos whilst I do it!
Where is the new non-Twitter place to discuss Raspberry Pi and electronics stuff?! I've never ventured into Mastodon but is that an acceptable alternative to the old Twitter?
Backspace Magazine absorbed into The MagPi, Everyday Electronics taken over the Silicon Chip.... it's all change in the UK electronics magazine market!
@TomFowl49451044 @David_gilbert88 I've tried both approaches (NT6-only and spreadsheet-first) and I think both have their merits. NT6 is brilliant at juggling staffing within blocks and finding swaps. Spreadsheet-first can be more visual and can help with understanding why a block refuses to fit. I use a mixture!
@BBCMoreOrLess ... e.g. 180 or 240 students, irrespective of how oversubscribed they are. An undersubscribed school might have smaller class sizes, however, as their intake does not reach their PAN.
@BBCMoreOrLess In the programme tonight, your guest implied that schools that are very oversubscribe have bigger classes than schools that were not as oversubscribed. Surely this is not correct? If a school is oversubscribed then their intake is limited by their published admission number...
Feeling nostalgic for 'old school' hobby electronics... maybe I should knock something up on veroboard or maybe even etch a PCB that I've drawn myself using nail varnish...
@NovAutomation@sciencemuseum My favourite part of the whole museum! (The no-longer-working Strowger telephone exchange demonstrator is a close second!)
