on the hunt for jobs again and what do you mean minimum of 82.5 hours per week. companies need to start remembering that the 40 hour workweek was a compromise
yesterday a co-worker wrote in the work chat like “hey anybody head hurt cuz we just spent six hours outside breathing in the toxic ammonia from the two giant fires in this neighborhood this week?” and i cannot tell you how viciously it was ignored by the managers.
My rent is $1,335. The duplex I live in is being sold. The new landlords want $2,145.
No renovations. No upgrades. Just pure profit.
That's a $800 rent hike for doing nothing but buying a home someone else already lives in.
This is what housing investment looks like.
Greed dressed up as business. People displaced for someone else's payday.
Communities gutteď so landlords can
“maximize returns.”
Call it what it is: exploitation.
The older generation doesn’t understand that the majority of young people will not own a home in their lifetime if things don’t change. “Get a job then” people are trying. They’re going to school to get the degrees like they’re told and then get rejected from every job they apply for. Then they’re left working for minimum wage living paycheck to paycheck with thousands of dollars of student loans to pay back.
Run down homes are being sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s insane. The housing market is impossible to afford for even the upper middle class. At this rate you have to be making hundreds of thousands a year to afford some of these prices which the majority of jobs do not pay.
This is another reason why young people also don’t want to have families. If they can’t even afford a home then they sure as hell aren’t going to be able to afford a child. Republicans love to talk about birth rates declining but then refuse to address why that’s the case. If they want families to thrive then you’d think they would support creating an economy where everyone can afford a comfortable life. But they support a man who says that he loves inflation.
People genuinely cannot afford to live on this country. When will everyone wake up and realize we are in a historic financial crisis that is only going to get worse if we do not get rid of the people who are responsible for it. Voting republican is voting for a lifetime of financial stress and instability.
@METALeagueCS2@thatdayin1992 Trump has filed more than 5,000 lawsuits in his life, including several defamation lawsuits, but has never filed a suit against someone for defaming him by calling him a pedophile. Have you ever wondered why that is?
@bigoldigbick@cott122@blankinon_names@RedwaveDawg@thatdayin1992 You know the files are available to the public, right? You can literally check for yourself right now. It even has a search bar, so you can specifically pull up the pages that have Trump's name.
Let's see how people defend this one. No slurs. No insults. I want to know what part of making medicine more expensive for the world at large does in benefiting anyone that isn't in the 1%
“GEN Z DOESN’T DRINK”
“GEN Z DOESN’T DATE”
“GEN Z DOESN’T BUY HOUSES”
“GEN Z DOESN’T HAVE KIDS”
“GEN Z DOESN’T SMILE”
Maybe because:
• They graduated into a pandemic
• Job hunted into an AI apocalypse
• Entered the housing market when rates hit 8%
• Watched a world war start before they turned 25
• Got their first paycheck and lost 30% to taxes they’ll never see benefits from
• Student loans kicked in the same month rent doubled
• Were told to “just network” during two years of lockdown
• Grew up on social media designed to make them feel worthless
• Watched billionaires add trillions during COVID while they lost their jobs
• Inherited a planet that’s literally on fire
• Were promised the American Dream and handed the American Bill
But yeah.
It’s the avocado toast.
Don't forget about the Epstein files. Or how paramount bought Warner brothers. And the owner of paramount is David Ellison. Who is his dad? Larry Ellison. Cofounder of Oracle. What does Oracle own? Tik Tok. Who is the IDF's number ONE private doner? Larry Ellison. What is the IDF? Israel's Defense Force. It's all a distraction. Wake Up.
