I'm a Farnell WW1 soldier bear called Suth & born in 1915. I'm 107 yrs old & officially an antique! Only 3.5 inches tall. I live with Alan, Sir Edwin & Wallace.
Head of Acquisitions, Edward, has a brass Queen Mary tin to show you. The tins contained cigarettes, sweets & a small pencil. They were distributed to ‘all who wore the King’s uniform’ during #ww1 & it was hoped the gift brought a little cheer to the brave servicemen ❤️🐻🐈⬛
Oh dear, as a jolly #AprilFool the #ParnabyAntiques boys told #ww1 Steven that there is no alcohol in vintage wine. So, after 4 bottles, poor Steven is not in good shape! Our Head of Acquisitions, Edward, is none too pleased either, as it was very valuable stock 😳😱❤️🐻🐈⬛
You’ve probably heard about the @KITKAT heist and we at #ParnabyAntiques have to confess that our Head of Aquisitions, Edward, acquired them. The rest of us have eaten them & we have just this one left ❤️🐻🐈⬛
Today the boys at #ParnabyAntiques would like to show you an original wooden shop sign from way back in 1908, which is 7 years before the pocket bears were even made! It’s way too big to put in the emporium, alas! Happy Sunday everyone ❤️🐻🐈⬛
Meanwhile, it’s time for the end of year accounts at #ParnabyAntiques and #ww1 Parnaby has presented #ww1 Arthur, our accountant (sort of!), with new files/folders in which to keep all the paperwork. What a good egg Parnaby is! ❤️🐻🐈⬛ #CookingTheBooks
It’s bin day again at #ParnabyAntiques and #ww1 Steven has taken the black bags out to the skip. But, oh dear, someone has put an old mattress & a chair in to it!!! We @thepocketbears are not impressed at all 😳😝❤️🐻🐈⬛
Today, we welcomed back #ww1 Percy & Jonah, who sailed home on @northlinkferries & stopped off to take an ‘arty’ pic on the beach before bringing their cannon for the antique shop stock. Welcome home boys! ❤️🐻🐈⬛ #ParnabyAntiques
With the shop having closed for the remainder of Sunday, there’s a good deal of stock preparation to be done. #ww1 Humphrey & Edward have two giant artworks to move in to #ParnabyAntiques After which they can have tea & cake😋 ❤️🐻🐈⬛
As practice for the inter-antique-shop darts competition continues, #ww1 Humphrey is still showing no sign of improvement. He did get one on the board, but that was because he stuck it there before we took the photo 🤣❤️🐻🐈⬛🐈⬛#AnyTipsWelcome
After much thought the #ParnabyAntiques team has concluded that, in order to eat #ww1 Steven’s giant strawberry, they are going to have to use a mallet to chop it up! So, it’s over to #ww1 Edward to do the honours! 🍓🔨🐻😋
Happy Saturday! Yesterday the skip hire company delivered a skip to #ParnabyAntiques and, this morning, #ww1 Parnaby has been out to put the litter bags in it. But, what a sad sight he found - Some meanie individual had thrown this poor teddy bear in!! #PoorOldBear
Hello all ❤️ Well, boosted by his successful flag plant, our green-fingered junior sales assistant #ww1 Steven has now cultivated the largest strawberry to EVER have grown! It’s soooo big, it has its own chair!❤️🐻🐈⬛ #BiggerThanWimbledonOnes 🤣
Good morning everyone. It’s an extra busy week at the emporium #ParnabyAntiques and #ww1 Parnaby & Humphrey wanted to show you a First World War pen & ink drawing, which is the same age as them!
It’s a busy Sunday here at Parnaby Antiques, but #ww1 Edward wants to take time to show you a solid silver coin. It is the smallest coin to ever be made by the #RoyalMint This coin is exactly as old as #ww1 Edward - 110 years!❤️🐻🐈⬛
Poor #ww1 Arthur, our emporium accountant, is up to his eyes in the end of month finance work. He hopes someone will send him a calculator, as he’s run out of paws to count on! Happy weekend everyone #WorkingFromHome#cookingthebooks#ParnabyAntiques
Finally, our last two staff members - We introduce you to #ww1 Percy & #ww1 Jonah. This cheeky pair are our ‘buyers out in the field’ & they travel around acquiring stock. They are trying to decide if #ParnabyAntiques needs a 2nd cannon! 🤔❤️🐻🐈⬛ #thepocketbears
