Today marks one year since Lockdown was announced in the UK. Podiatrists have remained keyworkers throughout and essential to the healthcare provision. Over on the blog, Podiatric Surgeon Scott Reid recounts his time in ITU during the first wave.

Today we launch our policy position on Podiatrists role within First Point of Contact roles. We need to ensure patients can access the right clinician, at the right time, in the right place. #FCP#Vascular#Dermatology#Prescribing#Diabetes#FootandAnkle https://t.co/tdOSFLmT5g
Great article with the contribution of my mate Pedro in these months @CollegePodiatry @podnow magazine! Very proud to see another Portuguese podiatrist leaving his mark in the UK! 👏🏻
Podiatrists in the NHS perform vital interventions every day. They play a key role in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, helping to prevent lower limb amputations, as well as making a huge contribution to caring for patients with long term conditions #WearetheNHS
@Connor_Boyd_ Check your facts before realising inflammatory articles.
I am a Podiatrist and I assure you I was not “twiddling” my thumbs I was redeployed during the 1st wave to support a COVID-19 ward within my NHS Trust role I worked with AHP who all did amazing jobs!
I was redeployed to support one of my Trust COVID-19 wards during the 1st wave of the pandemic reading your article calling Podiatrists among other AHP nonessential and cynical truly disgusts me @DailyMailUK 😡
The @CollegePodiatry are shocked by this disparaging piece in @DailyMailUK Podiatrists, along with dieticians, orthoptists, physios & every single NHS worker have been working their socks off during this pandemic. They will not be slapped down for asking for more than a clap.
