Peter Lynch (@KKCityHarriers) has broken the Irish senior marathon record this morning.

Racing in the Düsseldorf Marathon in Germany he clocked a time of 2:09:36 which takes six seconds off the previous record held by Hiko Tonosa 😮‍💨

Lynch finished third in the race which was won by Alex Meier (USA) in 2:08:32.

Fearghal Curtin (Youghal AC) was fourth in his debut over the distance in 2:11:35 🙌
