Our first @PoeticPathos Fresh Ink Open Mic of the season was a success. It was so touching seeing current and former poets interact and everything come full circle. @honestlykennedi was a fantastic host. That's what we're about, providing a space for growth in many ways.

Big thank you to everyone who has helped us on this journey. To those who gave our amazing kids an opportunity to grace their stage, people like @eljapoetry @PoetNorthstar and Neil Ray.

[Joel Mayo @joelcmayo]

And now we've had over a 100 poets participate, including poets from 8 other schools. We've been to BNV 3 times and placed 3rd at 1 of them. We've performed all across the county and even in California. Congrats to @nicolerivers81 @britannica82 and all the poets for this journey.

How did I forget that yesterday was the 7th anniversary of Gray's Creek Slam/@PoeticPathos? So crazy to think that this journey started with a documentary to get freshmen into poetry and then a meeting on a Wednesday in room 250 with 10 people "trying out".
