Find Victoria Leigh Bennett @katzrtops.bsky.social & @PoeticDiaspora50.bsky.social. Alex & Dave are already there. For now, poems here will be read Thursdays.
Dear @PoetsonThursday, I truly have to apologize for all my absent and laggard conduct, once again this year. Suffice it to say that there have been many issues, including a bad cold & cough keeping me feeling tired, and a sort of sabbatical "incountry" which also took up a few days. For 6/12/25, discuss poetically--the word "discuss" is used advisedly, as it is often applied in older times as a synonym for "eat"--a particularly lush meal, either symbolic or only celebratory, in the Jonsonian feasting poetical mode.
I just finished a series of paintings inspired by a friend’s poems (they’ll be used to promote her upcoming book!) 🎨🖌️ I had a ton of paper scraps left over. I turned them into flip book style mini-journals! ☺️They make the perfect little gifts💫
@bartle_sam Dear Sam, Oh, why choose? Why not both? For example, poached pears in chocolate wine sauce? As Robert Louis Stevenson said in his "A Child's Garden of Verse," "The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings."
Dear @PoetsonThursday, good to have you back, Victoria. Unfortunately, I don't have a 'luscious meal' poem, just this throwaway whimsical verse about my struggle to cut down on #chocolate and eat more #fruit!
Thanks for the platform.👍

Dear @PoetsonThursday, write a poem about the time when you were the happiest. In some ways, that time may be still to come, but just restrict your writing to a time in the past, overall. This is for Thursday, 5/8/25. Go to it!
Hi @PoetsonThursday
I recently learned that Shakespeare took Romeo & Juliet's story from a poem by Arthur Brooke. Bit disillusioning 😄 https://t.co/xMZUTvspOe
On an unrelated note, here's my poem 'Heart of Power' from 'Emergent Dreams'. Feel free to review on Amazon/Goodreads
@CDanaherH Truly joyous, Carrie. I really think you are one person in touch with the seasons and outdoors and other things that keep you healthy. Happy May!
