In the STS2 June newsletter, developer revealed: Doormaker had nothing to do with Worm. He named it after Deadlock's hero Doorman because he was playing too much of Deadlock at the time.😂

Some players who played both games pointed out: Doormaker's old fight mechanics drain your energy, exhaust your hand, and stop you from drawing. If you've ever been hit by Doorman's ult in Deadlock, the feeling is eerily familiar.

🚪▶️⏳The controversial Act 3 boss Doormaker has been officially removed in Slay the Spire 2's latest beta patch, replaced by a brand-new boss: Aeonglass.

⚔️Developer Mega Crit said Doormaker "exceeded our desired complexity threshold" and left lingering issues, so they chose to start fresh.

🧐Why the strong reaction? After a rework in v0.103.2, Doormaker's mechanics heavily restricted card draw and build freedom, sparking waves of negative Steam reviews. Chinese players even created a "Banish Doormaker Forever" mod.

✨Interestingly, Mega Crit once shared data showing Doormaker’s win rate was actually better than the other Act 3 bosses — but that did little to fix the overall player experience. A clear case of perception beating statistics.

Ubisoft Officially Announces Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Remake! Set to be Unveiled in Mid-April🤩

According to Insider Gaming, after numerous leaks and rumors, Ubisoft has finally confirmed that a remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag indeed exists, titled Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced. This name matches previously leaked localization documents and a now-deleted rating entry.

In a new official blog post reflecting on and discussing the series' history, Ubisoft's content director Jean Guesdon unveiled the remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag in a relatively cryptic manner.

He wrote: "Speculation around Assassin's Creed is not new, but it's worth repeating: ‘Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.’ Well, except in
this case, some whispers have a little more wind in their sails. Keep your spyglass on the horizon🐦."

He also included a parrot emoji (a classic pirate element) and a piece of concept art for Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, officially confirming the project's existence.

Insider Gaming notes that their sources indicate, if all goes according to plan, the game is expected to be officially unveiled in mid-April.

From the "Resynced" subtitle, to the meaningful hint in the copy, and the deliberately placed parrot emoji, the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake is clearly not a standard "HD remaster." Match Summary

Game 1: Tundra gained an advantage in the laning stage. Their mid-lane Beastmaster, leveraging his power spike, led the team to control Roshan and the Tormentor, applying map pressure and gradually widening the gold gap to take the first game.

Game 2: Tundra secured a massive lead in the lanes. Although Aurora clawed back significant ground with excellent offense and defense after the laning phase, Tundra's strength in team fights around the 20-minute mark was decisive. Securing consecutive Roshan and Tormentor kills, they snowballed to another victory.

Game 3: Aurora's mid-lane Storm Spirit delivered an outstanding performance. After the laning stage, he spearheaded aggressive plays that gave his team the upper hand. Tundra, overwhelmed by the relentless assaults mid-game, quickly crumbled.

Decisive Game 4: Aurora started aggressively, establishing a considerable gold lead in the mid-game thanks to the frontline strength of their three cores. PS Single-Player Blockbusters No Longer Coming to PC? Sony May Return to Exclusivity Strategy!

According to media reports, the number of PlayStation games ported to PC in the future may significantly decrease.

Following journalist Jason Schreier's disclosure of related information, two other well-known insiders, SneakersSO and NatetheHate, have come forward to corroborate. Schreier stated on a podcast that Sony may no longer bring its major single-player titles to the PC platform. This means games like Marvel's Wolverine and future sequels in the God of War series might remain console exclusives.

However, online GAAS (Game As a Service) games remain an exception. Schreier emphasized that titles reliant on a large player base, such as Helldivers 2, will still launch on PC to ensure active user numbers and long-term operational viability. But for traditional console-exclusive single-player games, Sony may gradually reduce its porting efforts.

He added that the impact of single-player games returning to console exclusivity might be limited—sales of such titles on PC are typically far lower than on PS5. Furthermore, Sony's AAA blockbusters are not released simultaneously on PC anyway, so reducing subsequent ports may not significantly impact the overall strategy.

As the console wars heat gradually subsides, Sony currently maintains simultaneous releases with the Xbox Series X|S platform only for certain online service titles and products like MLB The Show. PlayStation's major single-player games have long maintained a PS5-exclusive strategy. If PC ports are further halted, it could theoretically strengthen the platform's appeal and stimulate console sales.
On the other hand, Microsoft has hinted that the architecture of the next-generation Xbox console might be closer to a PC. If higher levels of PC compatibility are achieved in the future, Sony games already on PC might run on the new Xbox. But if Sony reduces the PC release channels for single-player games, Xbox players without a PS5 will find it harder to access those titles.

It's worth noting that earlier this month, Sony announced the closure of Bluepoint Games. Nixxes Software, which has long been responsible for PC ports within Sony, has also primarily handled PC version development for first-party titles in recent years. Additionally, Sony halted an unofficial fan-made project with a style similar to Diablo and Bloodborne.
