@kozumepaws blue lock is better as a character focused drama series where they also play sports than as a sports series. its actually pretty bad as far as pure sports goes imo. haikyuu really truly understands volleyball, kaneshiro is hesitant to give any defender time to shine

@ATSUK1TA my favorite part of this scene is that it lets them still compete. theyve always been better because they compete against each other, and now for the rest of their lives theyll always be trying to beat each other and do better. its really sweet 😭

@Streplic he hasnt been nerfed hes just been narratively pushed out for now. the focus is on other characters and he doesnt neatly fit in anymore. hes being given personal development in being benched and reevaluating his ego rather than playing - he’ll come back and play well

@corokeis idk how to phrase it but i love how they change because they learn and not because theyre wrong. like asahi was right to be anxious at the start of the series, but over time he and his team proved that they were competent and he proved he deserved faith in himself
