Our All Star Spotlight makes its way to Ducks UA Rise Crystal’s Jackie Pohl. Her uptempo play and ability to see the whole floor was a catalyst for her EB team this year. Jackie’s impact on the floor earned her her 2nd Patriot League All Star honor. #MTEDFamily#AllStarSpotlight

The best player on a team isn’t always the player who scores the most. Sometimes it’s the player who has a high IQ or a diverse/versatile skill set or a player who is unselfish & coachable or who knows their role inside & out. Basing “good” only on points scored is a big mistake!
The best high school basketball players don’t fear competition—they embrace it.
- They WANT to guard the other team’s best player.
- They ASK for the tough assignments in practice.
- They PRESSURE their teammates to raise their game.
Girls Basketball with the win on the road tonight at Cohasset 49-43, which runs their record to 9-1 (SSL 5-0). Leading the way in scoring was Jenna Oman and Jackie Pohl with 15 points each.
Behind every state championship banner is a group of kids who learned that mediocrity doesn’t cut it, accountability is earned, and success is shared. Winning is just the byproduct.
