"Come help us do this thing." Head coach @lukeloucks has a message for Seminole fans as FSU basketball returns to the Tuck for the first time this season on Saturday. Let's give them home-court advantage! 🔥🍢
All of these are just a fraction of the many reasons why everyone should vote Republican. Democrats will not make it better. They will make it much much worse.
There’s no way to put into words how sad we are to that our old friend John Anderson has passed away. Not only do we consider him one of the greatest singers ever and the writer of some of our favorite songs, but more than that, we consider him a brother. Our friendship with John goes all the way back to the neighborhood where we grew up and the playground across the field from his house where everyone played. It goes back to our first trip to Nashville, when John offered us wise advice and brotherly support. All of that is why every time we got to share a stage with John, it felt like we were home.
We’re sending our prayers to John’s family, who he so dearly loved. May God offer extra comfort and peace to them.
John, old friend, you once sang a line that said, “I’m just an old chunk of coal—but I’m gonna be a diamond someday”—you are indeed that diamond today. Rest well at home with Jesus.
“Since wealth is the only thing that can cure poverty, you might think that the left would be as obsessed with the creation of wealth as they are with the redistribution of wealth. But you would be wrong.”

🚨 FLORIDA: A 17-year-old stood up for a girl getting pelted with food in his school cafeteria, and NINE students jumped him for it.
It happened at Harmony High School in Osceola County.
Deputies say he told them to stop, then walked away with his girlfriend to calm things down.
After school, one teen hit him on the way to his car, and EIGHT more piled on.
He needed 11 STITCHES in his face.
His sister: "He stood his ground."
All nine were arrested at school and charged with felony aggravated battery and inciting a riot. The district says they've been EXPELLED.
Sheriff Chris Blackmon: "This victim did the right thing by standing up for another student being bullied."
Nine against one is not tough. It's cowardice.
Raise more young men like this one!
“Since it is so likely that [children] will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise, you are making their destiny not brighter but darker.”

Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize-winning economist, once went through the major U.S. government departments and said which ones should stay and which should go:
• Department of Agriculture: Abolish
• Department of Commerce: Abolish
• Department of Defense: Keep
• Department of Education: Abolish
• Department of Energy: Abolish (move the nuclear/military piece under Defense)
• Department of Health and Human Services: Cut in half (limited public health role only)
• Department of Housing and Urban Development: Abolish
• Department of the Interior: Sell off most government land, and abolish
• Department of Justice: Keep
• Department of Labor: Abolish
• Department of State: Keep
• Department of Transportation: Abolish
• Department of Treasury: Keep (to collect taxes)
• Department of Veterans Affairs: Pay veterans off, and abolish
Result: roughly 14 departments down to about 4–5.
Government’s real jobs, he said: defend the country, keep the peace, and protect people from being coerced by others. Everything else is outside its proper role.
The Academy of Country Music is heartbroken by the passing of legendary country music artist John Anderson. A member of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Anderson was honored with the ACM Career Achievement Award in 1994. 🤍

Our hearts are with his family, friends, and the countless fans who have cherished his music for nearly five decades. His voice, songs, and impact on country music will live on forever.” — Andy Schuon, CEO of the Academy of Country Music
We just lost a good one.
Tom Skerritt did four years in the Air Force as a classifications specialist before he ever played a pilot on screen.
He enlisted in 1951 right out of high school in Detroit. Most of the hitch was at Bergstrom Field in Austin, Texas, sorting airmen and handling admin. No flying job, just the paperwork side of the force. He got out in 1955 and used the GI Bill for college, eventually landing at UCLA.
Later he played Duke in the MASH movie, Dallas in Alien, and Viper in Top Gun. He also helped start the Red Badge Project for veterans with PTSD. The uniform came first. The rest of the roles followed.
“Advice to the young: You don’t have to listen to anybody. You can learn everything from your own personal experience. Of course, you will be at least 50 years old by the time you know what you need to know at 25.”

You’re one of the voices that led me to Nashville. And one of the most distinctive singer songwriters of the last few decades. A real country man. “Count the memories.“ RIP @johnanderson. ~ AJ
John Anderson, whose unmistakable voice helped make him a country music legend, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday at age 71, his family said.
