@TCPalacePod A balanced & fair, possibly too fair to some, pod Matt.
Think the hierarchy are primarily to blame for this over 3 poor transfer windows, but it looks like Sage (who admittedly has not been great) is going to take the fall for their mismanagement & parsimony.
#cpfc
@CPFC_Tampa Fair comment.
Personal view is that the people above Sage should carry a far greater share of the blame for the current malaise. But the likelihood is, he will be the fall guy and carry the can for their failings.
@Mikey_CPFC Lack of strategy.
We've also overspent on JSL and Brennan Johnson & hung on to JPM when we've known for 12 months he wants to leave.
Total mismanagement.
@CPFC_Tampa Sage will be the fall guy for the hierarchy that have left him with a seriously diminished playing staff.
Attempting to do it on the cheap by replacing proven quality with a seriously hopeful punts.
@GeoGoals He will get the sack for it because the hierarchy needs a fall guy to take the blame for their decisions to sell some of our best ever players & replace them sub standard alternatives & hopefully punts, under the guise of 'increasing squad depth'.
@henryswainjourn Sage likely to go but he is just the fall guy for the people above him who have sold the talent of the clubs greatest ever team & replaced it with sub standard alternatives & hopeful punts, under the guise of increasing squad depth. Many fans fell for it, but ๐ home to roost now
@henryswainjourn We know AWs strengths and weaknesses. Yet he is our best player, so the coach should put a structure in place that maximizes his positives.
@JHarrisCFC@HLTCO There was a 10 minute period in the second half when the team lost all structure. Literally, people did not know what they were doing. It was a rabble.
The hierarchy has shorn the team of quality and leadership. It looks like Sage is going to take the fall for it.
@CPFCHQ And yet everyone (except me) thought it was a masterstroke selling Munoz and having him as the replacement.
Far too many Football Manager merchants regard players as inter changeable commodities, yet pay no attention to the actual quality of the player.
@DownToTen He is is a player that it is difficult to get the best out of, as he does not suit most conventional systems. The left 10 is his perfect spot & we saw the results. He is not suited to MF or LW. Maybe, like Grealish & Le Tiss, he may also be better as a big fish in a small pond.
@HLTCO He's also a genuinely nice bloke. Laid back and down to earth off screen and really loves sport. One of the best sports broadcasters in the business.
@MattCBoxingNews This is one of the big issues with boxing. Lots of fights never happen because promoters favour known quantities ie sequels. So we end up with tedious or pointless rematches. I call it the "Marvelisation" of Boxing.

@MarinaPurkiss@JeremyVineOn5 Admire your work & enjoy The Trawl & TBH you (& Jemma) are above the JV show. I guess he's your friend, but the show is sewer. A pox on public debate & a platform for some genuinely awful people - pretending to be journalism. It's reflects terribly on JV that he his name is on it
@MrsRiccardelli@fesshole Parents that dont understand sport are the problem. Not all parents - many are fantastic. Provide lifts, run the line, referee.
