Good morning. I’m Pete Yeaple and this is Point Blank: Bullet Points — short takes with a taste of what the full podcast brings.”
I hope you rested well. I woke up grateful to see the sunrise again. Washed my face, grabbed my coffee, and set my intention.
There is no more powerful way to begin the day than deciding to stay positive and bring value to someone else.
You won’t have to look far. Every single day, someone around you could use a hand — and many are too prideful to ask.
Most acts of service take only a moment. But that moment may be the most meaningful one you spend all day.
I don’t believe in random acts of kindness.
I believe in being kind — deliberately.
So let’s start this day with purpose. Let’s meet the darkness we’ll inevitably scroll past with light of our own.
Be the pebble in the still water.
Be the ripple.

Title: Individuals vs The Machine
Tonight’s thought is about something that rarely gets discussed honestly in American politics.
We talk about red and blue as if they are teams we must choose from. But every once in a while someone appears inside those parties who doesn’t quite fit the mold.
People like Thomas Massie.
People like Rand Paul.
And even someone outside the party system like Robert F. Kennedy Jr..
Different backgrounds. Different policies. Different personalities.
But they share something rare in politics today: a willingness to challenge their own party.
Massie votes against spending bills when his party supports them.
Rand Paul questions foreign wars when others fall in line.
Kennedy walked away from the party he grew up in when he felt it no longer represented his views.
Now imagine something interesting.
What if Americans stopped voting for teams and started voting for individuals?
Because the Constitution never mentions Democrats or Republicans.
It only speaks about representatives.
So tonight’s question is simple:
Are we choosing leaders…
or are we choosing jerseys?

Today Congress will debate my Iran War Powers Resolution. Tomorrow we vote.
If I weren’t in Washington, it’s possible Congress would escape its constitutional duties.
MAGA promised no more wars in the Middle East!
I’m keeping my promises. Please help.
