21 October 1943 | A transport of 1,007 Jews deported from Westerbork camp in the occupied Netherlands arrived at Auschwitz.

After the selection, 347 men and 170 women were registered in the camp.

The remaining 490 people were murdered in a gas chamber. Among them was an 8 year old Bertha Elburg.
