@Stephen31385349 @EmJaRo2 @gavmarten@tomhfh Couldn't you? If someone was living rent free in the most expensive asset you own? Or making the neighbours' lives a misery?! Of course you could, and would.
@EmJaRo2 @Stephen31385349 @gavmarten@tomhfh No, but you have to go to court and it can take 6mths+ to even get a date. With no rent, which of course you aren't compensated for. Why risk it on a borderline viable tenant?
@RupertMyers "Swapping Latin for lessons in graffiti"??? Great advert for private schooling you are. Someone actually paid to give you attitudes this ignorant?
@Eastreadingcom@The_Landlord Be grateful if that's all it is. Newham also dictate who you can rent to, and send out random and incompetent audits and comms which drive my tenant nuts.
@The_Landlord And despite the millions they rake in, the private sector housing dept at Newham are jaw droppingly inept and infuriating. This week they sent my tenant a letter announcing a "routine" inspection 4 mo after the last one, with wrong contact details/ working hours. Standard.
@bluesoup 1)- I have two female friends who met their life partners in their early 40s. Their relationships are better for the life experience and self knowledge they went in with. 2) you look great, but also know that we age in spurts. I felt like I really aged 40/41 but then it settled
@lewis_goodall I popped in this morning to be met with a barrage of hysteria about it. Considering 80%+ of the population is pro, I can only assume I'm seeing what I'm seeing because Space Karen doesn't like it.
@doctor_oxford Why is it so hard to understand that many of us say NO to any of this? If I have months to live during which the best case is just waiting to die and the worst is unbearable suffering, you can stick your palliative care. I want out, end of.
@The_Landlord@Finumus1 Actually - no 😂. Thought I had seen it available in my trading acct but on re checking, it doesn't seem to be. So I assume still US and EU only.
If you happen to meet my dog behaving "friendly" to you in the park or somewhere by sitting down next and staring at you, she's not actually being friendly. She can smell your drugs on you. She lives with me, but she's also my drug detection dog for work at the nearby airport.
@mjp_hall1980@brownliberite Please don't tell them. We're already the last place on earth that isn't like Beirut from 3 weeks before bonfire night until 3 weeks after, to start with
@doctor_oxford Nope. Give people a choice first, so those suffering aren't forced to continue suffering while the powers that be faff around fixing palliative care.
That also has the benefit of helping those for whom NO amount of palliative care will alleviate their suffering.
@referee1965@Andie00471 And we still have those stupid fixed caps on plastic bottles cos guess what?! There isn't a company alive that's going to make a UK only product, regardless of whether the EU regs apply here. DUH.
@cladderstopay@GMB@NickDixonITV And then they need to fix the system for getting the £ working. Block next to us approved for govt money 2+ yrs ago but still wrangling on the detail. By now we should have a standard £/sqft measure for costs, grant that immediately and argue about any extra later.
@anon_opin Having recently picked up a paintbrush for the first time at 50 and loving it, I tried to remember what we did in school art lessons. I got nothing, apart from the odd sarcastic comment. "Drawing" was also the only game in town...art is so much more than that!
