Kureno stepped into the house and went in search of Saku-chan. Finding her, he snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek.

@alilchamp Kureno held her as the two sat on the couch with Kimi on his lap. His eyes widened at her words. He never thought that he’d hear Kimi say those words.

“Are you sure that’s what you want, Kimi-chan? You can still live in our home even without formally adopting you.”

He paused to change into his pajamas and then joined Sakura on the bed.

Kureno finally walks through the door upon returning from his work conference and he sees @sohma_sakura crying on the couch. His brow furrows with fear as he worries that he is the one who upset her.

“I’m home.” He tries softly with a smile and arm around both of her shoulders.

@sohma_sakura “I appreciate you for always being there for them. I feel awful that I’m not around as much as I would prefer to be.”

He was unbuttoning up his shirt as she asked him the question. He turned around to face her as he was confused by the question.

@sohma_sakura “It appears that the kids are sleeping, so you and I can stay up and you tell me all about what I missed. And after the wedding that’s long overdue.”

He picked her up and carried her to their bed, kissing her lips again.

Brushing her long hair out of her face as he kissed her back.

“Those are definitely the lips I’ve been missing while I was away.”

@sohma_sakura He pulled her into his chest and gently rubbed her back. He leaned in to kiss her forehead while he allowed her to calm down.

“Would you like to talk about why I found you crying? I know I haven’t been around much and I do apologize for that.”

@alilchamp “Oh she did? That’s exciting! What else has been happening? Tell me all about it.”

Kureno wasn’t shocked by the appearance of the tanuki (?) ears. After all he used to transform into a bird.

He smiled at her planting a kiss on her forehead.

“Have you been a good big sister while I had to go to a work conference?”
