Many Gazan Palestinians I know (and others I hear in interviews) want reconstruction and peace, but fear weapons proliferation and a deepening so-called “culture of death.”
In this video, they call for rebuilding a culture of hope, civility, and coexistence.
Free Palestine protesters at the Sydney marathon yesterday said they wouldn't let Israeli soldiers "hijack" the marathon to "whitewash their war crimes."
The delegation of Israelis they were protesting came to run and raise money for Shalva, an organization that helps people with disabilities.
Ironically, the protesters attacked a disability support organization that helps both Arabs and Jews, and even has a special program dedicated to doing outreach to Palestinians in East Jerusalem.
Maybe if they want to help Palestinians so much, they should just donate. But I guess yelling at Jews is more fun.
To be clear, this is not specifically about wanting France. I would accept asylum and protection in any country, even one I might consider the worst country in the world. What matters to me is getting out of the hell of Gaza and reaching a place where I can be safe.
I learned that France evacuated a number of people from Gaza today, and it made me feel that I deserve the same opportunity. I am also in need of protection, safety, and a chance to live without fear.
URGENT: For everyone who has asked how to help me leave Gaza, this is my PayPal:

Any donation or share could help me get one step closer to safety.
I am Omar Abd Rabou, a Palestinian journalist from Gaza. I am appealing to France to consider receiving me through its emergency reception and protection programs.
I have been subjected to persecution and torture in Gaza by Hamas because of my condemnation of the October 7 attacks and my criticism of Hamas and its policies.
As a journalist at risk, I urgently need safety and protection. I respectfully ask the French authorities to consider my case on humanitarian and emergency grounds.

Are all Israelis really white?
When we hit the streets to find out, what we saw was quite the opposite.
Not only are there Muslims, Christians and Druze, but Israelis have roots from all over the world, including the Middle East and North Africa.
So does the reality match the stereotype? Watch this video and decide for yourself.

"The Regime took my passport. My money. Everything I owned in Iran".
Vahid Mahdavi left Iran and his job as the state broadcaster behind. He knew no camera could film the protests and come back out. But the people inside were living something the world was never going to see, and he was not going to let it stay that way.
So he collected the video real people shot on their phones and built the rest of the scene around it, shot by shot.
Important article. Ahmed Alkhatib, a Palestinian from Gaza who lost 33 members of his immediate and extended family in the war, says that Western liberals supporting an Islamic state (Iran) are supporting its associated terrorists.
“Being pro-Hamas, and now pro-Islamic Republic, has become a mainstream position. Essentially you have Western support for Islamist groups. And within this Western coalition you have an unholy alliance of Islamists and supposedly social justice warriors – who ostensibly care about women’s rights, equality, gay rights and immigrant rights, and a whole host of social causes – directly or indirectly singing the praises of a jihadist terrorist organisation.” He shakes his head in anger and frustration.”

Some guy asked me if I support Palestine.
I said yes.
I support Palestinians in the exact same way I support Singaporeans, or French people, or the Irish, or Americans, or Russians, or Ukrainians, or Israelis.
They have a right to live in peace and enjoy their lives.
First time hearing about this Winter guy, who apparently believes that "emigration" (not voluntary emigration, so presumably forced emigration?) is the solution for Gaza.
This is one of the most stupid ideas I have heard. It would be ethnic cleansing.
Totally wrong.
Two days ago, hundreds of Gazans who are affiliated with Hamas, Jihadi families, Al Jazeera journalists, the “resistance” narrative, and the fraudulent “perseverance” rhetoric left the destroyed Strip and headed to Qatar. Mind you, many of these folks are the same who promulgate and persist in preserving on Palestinian lands and refusing to leave, endorsing Hamas, October 7, and the horrendous terrorism and evil that led to the coastal enclave’s destruction and annihilation.
The same people who yell and scream about “ethnic cleansing” and “forced displacement” are the ones who are voluntarily departing Gaza and heading to the safety, comfort, and luxury of Qatar. Of course, I wish safety and well-being upon all who genuinely want that for themselves and their families. Nevertheless, I ridicule, detest, and deride those who want it for themselves but offer useless, worthless lectures to deny it to others.
And what is with the Israeli authorities? Allowing the exit of those people when I have begged for months on end to evacuate a hundred plus Christian families in Gaza who have Visas in Western countries and need safe passage out? I have spoken to Australian, Spanish, European, Jordanian, Emirati, American, and Israeli officials to help those desperate Christians leave Gaza – to no avail. Not to mention, elements of the Catholic and Orthodox churches don’t want to be actively involved in evacuating Christians out of Gaza, because they worry about the disappearance of Christian heritage from the tiny enclave, which has seen the number of its Christian inhabitants reduced to a few hundred, thanks to Hamas’s rule over the past eighteen years.
Meanwhile, Hamas and Hamas-adjacent Gazans who left for Qatar received the red-carpet treatment, clearly indicating how much pull and weight Doha has with Israel and the United States, particularly in the aftermath of the ceasefire.
What a shame…
Imagine if Israel used chemical weapons in Gaza. The world would erupt. But when the Muslim Brotherhood led army in Sudan uses chemical weapons and kills 80,000 women and children the world stays silent, and the left attacks the UAE for exposing them.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s presence in Canada must end. We demand an immediate government investigation and formal designation.
