In Rochester, Minnesota, a judge has refused to dismiss the murder indictment against Dr. Connor Bowman, charged with poisoning his 32-year-old pharmacist wife Betty with a lethal dose of colchicine; prosecutors say he researched fatal dosages calibrated to her exact weight using his poison control work database, ordered the drug through his Mayo Clinic email, and was active on a dating app listing himself as a widower before she had even died. Betty Bowman died on August 20, 2023, four days after drinking a smoothie her husband made her; no trial date has been set.

I'm going to keep just a very slight chance of a stray shower popping up due to the heat, but they will collapse as soon as they form. Producing nothing but gusty winds.

No need to cancel outdoor plans. Just drink water cause y'all are dehydrated camels, and be aware that there's a slight risk that a wall of blowy wind could hit you out of nowhere lol

At the same time, another front will move through sometime Wednesday from north to south.

The timing of this front will determine how hot it gets north of I-70 before they start to come back down. So, there could be a range of different temperatures across northern/northeast Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebrasky ranging from 70s to 80s behind the front to 90s ahead of it. Just really depends on timing.

Thursday, most of us are back in the 70s and low 80s again except for the Western Slope that doesn't believe in comfort lolz

Friday, a mix of upper 80s to mid 90s once again. Hottest on the Western Slope once again where you'll make a run at 100 degrees. #DesertDoingDesertThings

Also beginning Friday, going through the weekend, and into next week, the forecast models and ensemble trends have been decently consistent on increasing our chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Obviously the drama is in the details. Be patient. Once I have a better idea on timing and potential impacts, I'll pass that info along.
