Hey PokeNerds,

I just got back from spending a month in Portugal with my family — it was amazing to unplug for a bit and enjoy some real time together.

Being away gave me a chance to reflect on everything we’ve built with The PokeNerds Store… and wow. What started as a little side project in college turned into a $7 million+ community of families, collectors, and fans from all over the world. And somehow, along the way, we helped shape how the Pokémon world works online today — livestreams, community, all of it.

Right before we left, I made the tough decision to close our retail store. That wasn’t easy. The store meant a lot — to me, to local families, and to so many of you who came by to trade cards, make memories, and just hang out.

But after years of running full speed, I realized I needed to slow down. To spend more time with my family. To breathe. To think about what I want life to look like moving forward — not just business.

So here’s where things stand:

➡️ The PokeNerds Store is still around — it’ll just be more of a side project for now.
➡️ We’re working on a proper farewell video for the retail store. It’s taking some time, but I want it to really capture everything we built together.
➡️ Frisbee Saturdays are coming back soon! If you’ve joined us before, you know how fun they are — and yes, there will still be free Pokémon cards for players 🥏🔥
➡️ The 30th Anniversary of Pokémon is coming next year — and it’s going to be HUGE. Some of the best sets in years are on the way, and we’ll be here for it all.

Here’s my biggest takeaway after 6+ years, millions in sales, and hundreds of thousands of fans served:

I captured a small spark of the magic I grew up admiring — and turned it into something people genuinely loved.

That means everything to me.
