Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic sleepover in the school hall with a fish and chip tea and various activities after which they watched a film and fell asleep in their sleeping bags! Breakfast was provided by Tescos, Southbourne, with thenks to Mrs Hurst for arranging it.
Year 1 had a fantastic time on the beach last Friday. They took their learning down to the sand and had a great time working out different number sentences, looking at capacity, writing beautiful stories and creating a sand sculpture of a giant!
We had some special visitors at Pokesdown Primary this afternoon who joined some of our Year 6's for a PE lesson. Many thanks to Nathan Ake, Jordan Ibe and the rest of AFC Bournemouth's Community Trust team for such a fantastic afternoon!
On 26 Feb our rugby team took part in the Bournemouth
Rugby festival at Littledown. Despite the awful weather, everyone played fantastically and showed amazing team spirit...even when the raindrops were dripping from our noses! Fergus Fairfax-Strathern won Player of the Team.
Year three had a fun time playing a wide range of games at the board games café 'Coffee and Dice' yesterday and are now buzzing with ideas to create their own magnetic or magnet themed game for their topic outcome 'Play the game'.
'Year three had an amazing day at the INTECH Science Centre, Winchester earlier today with plenty of hands-on exhibits to test out. We are now brimming with ideas for our own Science Fair and look forward to sharing with visitors (our grown ups!) on Tuesday 5th December.
