When you have a new TCG like One Piece or Dragon Ball Fusion World, the best move is typically to focus on obtaining one of the absolute highest tier cards rather than diversifying into a bunch of middle tier cards. It may sound counterintuitive, but it’s usually less risky even though the highest tier cards are more expensive to buy.

We just saw this play out. Following the ATH for most OP cards in February 2026 there was a 50-60% retracing in most cards—with few exceptions. But the very top tier One Piece cards (see my post below) barely went down in price during that time, and in some cases actually went up in value. This shows which cards are the real winners, if it wasn’t already clear to you. (It was for me)
