It is extremely rare to come across a player like @LaneJohnson65. Extremely rare
In the spring of 2013, I found myself on a field in East Texas working out a young Lane Johnson. I believe he was 22 years old
All these years later, to say I am proud of the career you built and the man you became would be an understatement. A Hall of Fame career. It’s been a privilege and honor to have coached you.
I am so proud of you, Lane
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is doubtful for Sunday night’s game at Denver but could return as soon as next week against the Eagles, has been dealing with mainly a groin injury that has impacted his explosiveness, per league sources. Functinally, Nacua can play, but he has not felt like he can play with the same explosiveness he has had in the past. The Rams still view it as a short-term injury and think he’ll be back sooner rather than later. The organization does not believe surgery in this situation will be needed, but it’s also not entirely off the table if Nacua doesn’t show signs of improvement. Still, nobody is thinking that will be the direction this situation goes, and Nacua could be back next week.
Cardinals TE Trey McBride, who had nine receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in today’s 26-14 win at the Chargers, now has 38 career NFL games with at least five catches, tied with Pro Football Hall of Famers Antonio Gates (38 games) and Kellen Winslow Sr. (38) for the second-most such games by a tight end in his first five seasons in NFL history. They trail only Jimmy Graham (46).
It doesn’t even matter if it’s a good or bad trade… when it’s draft night and you trade down…. It always sucks in the moment… to do it 2 nights in a row is depressing #Spielman2.0
