Yes- these facts are why Iowa appears so messy and why you see so much constant baggage leaking and criticism, they do it to themselves. It’s not “the same” process or approach as others in wrestling. So I’m not sure why people are pretending it is…

Create an organized NIL collective (like PSU, etc) and do it the right way- maybe then there won’t be so much drama surrounding each move, maybe then you won’t have athletes and families resenting the program when leaving and people calling you desperate. The operation isn’t clean, no team has more info out there than Iowa because no team pisses off their own wrestlers/fans and other coaches more than Iowa. Who do you think is providing the details?

Having some guy who is nicknamed “slumlord” and “the wolf of Main Street” (due to his alleged record of taking advantage of low income renters during Covid) call everyone and make ridiculous offers to guys not in portal is not going to make you look good.
