I'd be interested in finding out if other HEPs are now reviewing their policies, in light of the new proposals in the @officestudents harassment and misconduct consultation.
We will be speaking to our members.
π Oxford University will ban "intimate relationships" between staff and students under a new policy from 17 April 2023.
The policy also "strongly discourages" other close relationships that "transgress the boundaries of professional conduct."
Great to have @ProfEdwardPeck as our keynote speaker at #AMOSSHE Winter Conference. He is talking about his ongoing work as Student Support Champion.

We are proposing a new condition of registration to address harassment and sexual misconduct. If a condition is introduced following the consultation, universities and colleges would have to take a number of steps, including (see thread π)
@edwest Suspect this will be very much a generational divide. I know a few people who view Richmond,Twickenham etc as Middlesex as they grew up posting things with a county address. Some cricket fans will probably still have pre 65 loyalties!
Really excited to start at @amosshe_uk tomorrow as their new Senior Policy Officer. I'm very keen to speak to as many members as possible to understand the issues you want want help with. I am new to the sector, so I would appreciate any insights! π‘ #highereducation#hepolicy

I've secured a Parliamentary debate this Wed about #Evusheld: more than 500,000 immunocompromised people need this preventative covid drug now. If you're not a St Albans constituent, please write to your MP and urge them to attend @Evusheld_Now#evusheld4theuk#forgotten500k
@gavinantonyrice@NJ_Timothy@GoodwinMJ Maybe it also has something to do with our tendancy to import American style definitions. Most of the foundational 'conservative' intellectuals in the US (apart from Kirk and a few others) would probably fit far better in a history of Liberalism library corner!
@CharlotteCGill Not mention the cost of rail fares in the commuter belt. Daily on peak- fares can easily reach Β£35-40 WITH a railcard if you have the temerity to move 40 or more miles from Central London
@huwzat Andrew Strauss is an admirable person but hopefully the counties will push back hard. It makes a mockery of our domestic game and marginalises the Blast when it remains v popular. The Hundred may be a marketing person's dream but it undermines our ability to create test players.
