You think taxi bosses have registered their drivers with labour department and taxes + UIF is deducted from their drivers wages? Do they follow the basic employment act? OHS act? How many mini buses on the road meet basic roadworthy safety standards? How many times does labour department visit a taxi company to enforce compliance compared to other industries? ZERO!
Because the industry is controlled by a mafia of rogue politicians, union officials and political connected groups!

If they were any way regulated and follow the law like every other business they would not be forcing customers mafia style to take certain routes, try and intimidate a city and its citizens for a week like they did in August 2024 Capetown! 🤡
