After my talk at a school yesterday I had a student approach me who broke down expressing how she had faced similar adversities, but the support from her teachers inspired her to keep moving forward. Words cannot describe the impact a teacher has. Take a bow teachers. Take a bow.
I absolutely urge people to take the vaccine when offered. In fact, I am scheduled for my first dose on Thursday.
Logistically the challenge is huge, but the vaccine rollout so far has been impressive and we all have to play our part.
Schools closures do not mean that schools are closed and school holidays do not mean that staff get a holiday. Educating kids is a difficult job in the best of times, let alone now - as lots of parents are finding with the kids at home! Huge thanks to school staff everywhere.
Susanna are going into the studio? And why you do not do live virtual calls to GMB? Is it absolutely essential for you to physically be in the studio right now? When I’m sure you have a laptop at home you can zoom from? #rantover

What changed in 12hrs? I accept this is fast moving, but surely the data was there already.
Now children have relinked unnecessarily for 1 day
Hospital after hospital is activating surge plans and redeploying staff or declaring major incidents.
We haven't even got to the part where Christmas gathering-related infections show up at the hospital yet.
This feels worse than March, perhaps because we all saw it coming.
The #COVID19 vaccination programme is well underway in Redbridge 🙌
Today at Redbridge Town Hall, over 600 residents aged 80 and above are getting vaccinated to protect them from COVID-19. We would like to thank our healthcare partners @RedbridgeCCG for making this a reality.
If teaching was easy, everyone would do it. If teaching made you feel good all the time, everyone would do it. If teaching was 9-3 everyone would do it.
It’s hard, can be never ending and not everyone can do it. That’s why you should feel good about yourself - because you can.
