One of the questions the ODPA ask when you register is “Do you have a DPO?” (i.e. Data Protection Officer). Certain organisations are legally required to have a DPO.

Guernsey Police have received several reports of people advertising properties to rent via https://t.co/fPFNYSMnq5 and Facebook. Several people have responded and paid deposits up front without seeing the property they were looking to rent.
An unlikely pairing but If you can answer the six questions in Kipling's famous poem about your data you're well on the way to achieving GDPR compliance:
I KEEP six honest serving-men
(They taught me all I knew);
Their names are What and Why and When
And How and Where and Who.
If you are a sole trader running a business under a business name you should register with the ODPA as "[Your name] trading as [business name]" because only legal persons or legal entities (such as ltd companies) can be registered under Data Protection law, not business names.
Registering with the ODPA is the easy bit. To achieve GDPR compliance it is necessary to have in place the legally required policies and procedures.
Fortunately, there are some excellent resources on the ODPA website https://t.co/vfJGkNiVPQ but if you are unsure get in touch.
When you register on the ODPA website you will need to pay the first year’s fee, which is £50 if you are a small business (less than 50 employees). You can make a single payment by credit/debit card, or set up a Continuous Payment Authority (“CPA”).

When you start the ODPA registration this is one of the first questions.
The data controller determines the purposes for which and the means by which personal data is processed. The data processor processes personal data only on behalf of the controller.

A doorstep condition is one that may be issued by the court along with a curfew condition requiring the person bailed to stay at their bail address during specified hrs and come to the door if the police call to check.
