It is sacred to the Goddess Brigid and in Ireland it comes into bloom between her festival of Imbolg and the Equinox☀️

Here's hoping that in the coming months of Spring and Summer that local authorities can resist the urge to purge them from our green spaces and give the insects that we rely upon a chance 🐝✨
