@nightmayne@DRACSHIELDS @bobbybaltim0re Yeah, I saw a report from Schefter (I think) that said Ravens STILL tried to go through with the deal. I suppose the Raiders didn't like the new offer and that didn't work
@williammmmc@Sports_philli@itsahooded4iron Likely and Linderbaum were known to leave. They had already offered extensions and they didn't accept. There is no way Ravens would pay 27M/year for a center.
Your conspiracy theory is really good, but a bit of an overreaction against just one of the actors in this situation
@KVN_03 You rock, man!! We love your energy, your skill and the kind of person that you are! Hope you stay! And if not, you will always be remembered as part of the #RavensFlock 🖤💜
@XJuggernauut@stone_2x The big difference is a runner already HAS possession of the ball, while a receiver (in this case) has to establish that possession to be ruled a catch.
Rodgers has just one hand on the ball, the other is on defender's hand and ball is moving al over his helmet. No clear possession
@UberSmitty@ProFootballTalk you are wrongly considering Rodgers a ball carrier, he is a receiver and: he caught the ball midaire, then took L hand off and then put back L hand but over defenders' hand. He didn't have clear, nor long enough control. Didn't make a "Football move" to be considered a catch
@jamainebest01@InvisibleSun00@tjmcaulay When the knee was down,he had only one hand on the ball &the other over the defender's hand.Buchanan had TWO hands while going down.
I could agree if, for example, ball didn't move on Aaron's helmet all the way till he was down, as Edelman's reception back in the day.
@MalgeoTwitch@tjmcaulay@MPFrazer But the toe case it's black or white. In or Out and that's it. The rules in this TD case is "how long is "long enough" to have possession? What's the difference between control and poss as Mr. Terry referred? Too much grey in between.
@dmunnuh@tjmcaulay Yeah,it says right there. But the best point to make is WHY do a"football move"that started before a) and b) isn't valid after anymore.
It's not like his elbows are stone and can't bend.He purposely extends and KEEPS his arms extended before, during and after landing.Common Sense
@jamainebest01@InvisibleSun00@tjmcaulay In the pic, knee is off the ground. You decided to overlook that he then took his L hand off the ball, which is moving all over his helmet while going down btw. All that while Ravens D had both hands on the ball all the way to the ground. There is no CLEAR and OBVIOUS evidence
@tjmcaulay Interesting take. So, in the same game, can you explain to us when does Aaron Rodgers established clear possession of the ball to be ruled a reception, therefore, down by contact and overturn the INT call on the field? It's beyond me.
@IrrelevantSpor@MV3JamarLackson@sgellison Really? Do you see clear possession when he has one hand on the ball and it's moving all over his helmet?
And still, as a 50/50 play with the call on the field being an INT, NY overturned it.
We could agree with the Likely call, but Rodgers' call was even more awful
