Rest in peace, Dolly Parton (1946–2026) 💔

I don’t even know how to put this into words. We lost one of the true greats today, not just in country music, but in music, period. Dolly Parton was a songwriter, a singer, an actress, a businesswoman, a philanthropist, and one of the kindest hearts this industry has ever seen.

“Jolene.” “9 to 5.” “Coat of Many Colors.” “I Will Always Love You.” These aren’t just songs, they’re pieces of all our lives because we grew up listening to them. Dolly wrote music that crossed generations, crossed genres, crossed borders. And beyond the stage, through the Imagination Library, she put books into the hands of millions of kids and changed lives in ways most artists never even attempt.

There will never be another Dolly. The rhinestones may have stopped shining today, but her music, her humor, her heart, those infectious attributes of hers aren’t going anywhere. She will shine forever.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the laughs, the memories, and everything you gave the world. ❤️🕊️

When David Moyes came back to West Ham for the 2nd time I was disgusted. I didn’t think much of his 1st time as manager and believed it was a backward step for the club. I went onto a radio station and said words to that effect.

But how wrong I was. His time as manager of West Ham have been the best since I have been supporting the club and I’ve been as season ticket holder since the 90s.

West Ham have finished in the top 7 in consecutive seasons only ONCE in the clubs history. That was under David Moyes.

West Ham won a trophy for the first time since 1980 under his management . The ONLY trophy I have seen West Ham lift bar a play off one.

He made us forget the terrible owners. And what he did worked for a prolonged period where managers have failed over the years since John Lyall.

The good moments far outweigh the bad.

History will look fondly on this period of time under his management.

History might not look so kindly on a certain section of the fanbase.

The shelf life of a Premier League manager is mostly short. It is time for him to leave the club.

But have no doubt about it - West Ham is a much better place having had David Moyes as our manager.

We had David Moyes. And he knew exactly what we needed. For a while at least.

People will try to rewrite history to serve their opinion but I know what I’ve experienced over the last few seasons and it has been mostly positive.

Everything, everywhere, everyone ends.

West Ham United will continue as always.

David Moyes will be consigned history.

But always looked upon fondly by me.
