@nadineshah@nadineshah Makes perfect sense to me! Glastonbury CAN be genuinely good exposure but equally depending on scheduling, weather etc, you can be playing to half a dozen people. If I were an artist, I'm not sure I'd take the risk.
Fans of The Stone Roses, The La's, Creation Records, Sarah Records, C86 or The Byrds will find @ChimeSchool's instantly-catchy jangly pop hard to resist.

You asked for it (well, quite a few of you did) so here’s our attempt to explain how Spotify pays artists and what alternative methods musicians and labels have come up with as a replacement. Oh and Rod Stewart’s pothole repair budget bonus.
@steve_lamacq @tobyjonesactor Surely spotify could pay him 10p a listener out of the £15 a month each pays, £4K a month wouldn't fund a traditional rock n roll lifestyle, but he could at least eat!
@steve_lamacq@steve_lamacq I was speaking to an artist last week who has 40K monthly listeners on Spotify alone, yet only gets around £100 a month for ALL streaming platforms.
Will it take @tobyjonesactor to make a drama about a starving musician to finally get something done?
@SkatingPolly Yeah it's not a very google-friendly band name, especially around valentines day. I know the internet wasn't invented for another 30 years or something, but still ;)
@chris_hawkins Normally I'd agree, but last week I saw @SkatingPolly 3x and Dlina Volny once. Might as well have New Year now, nothing is going to live up to that!
