@JASmius@Kasparov63 The Islamic beheader of Samuel Patty in Paris last month was a legal immigrant. Jose Antonio Vargas a Pulitzer prize winning journalist in the US is an undocumented immigrant.
Don't hide your racism behind illegal and legal nonsense.
Yep, go fuck yourself you racist prick.
@Kasparov63 Garry, what is important is to know that all immigrants are not the same. If you filter for meritocracy and employment like the US does then you get great immigrants. If you filter for show off (like the Europeans do) then you get the Chechen beheader of Samuel Patty in Paris.
@yaneerbaryam It speeds up the process and makes it a smarter lockdown than just a hard lockdown. People only have a limited amount of patience and the effectiveness is very important so that the lockdown can be for the shortest period.
@yaneerbaryam Unless you supplement the lockdowns with digital tracing and free N95 masks (for the most exposed people) you won't get the needed traction. Cases will go down even with just a hard lockdown but they will go right back up when things are relaxed.
@nasdaily You are a moron if you think that "this area" will rival a 40 trillion dollar economy like the EU and US combined. The US and EU has the most prized real estate in the world. The most prized stock of capital, workers, universities etc.
@JeffDean It is sad that the states with the most cases per capita seem to be states that overwhelmingly voted for Trump. In fact sorting by cases per million shows that 17 out of the top 20 covid states voted for Trump. And one of the three blue states is tiny Rhode Island (plus IL, WI)
@realDonaldTrump Currently daily average of covid deaths is 1267 deaths per day and rising fast. Its also too high.
If this rate is 85% lower then we would need 9000 deaths per day. So this is a blatant lie.
As usual ignorant and brainwashed people don't care.
@StrongNFree1@evan_experience@beyouonlybetter@realDonaldTrump@justin_hart There are about 240 million eligible voters in the US. Only about 2/3rds out of those 240 million voted.
You might recall that Trump won 10 million more votes than last time and still lost to Biden by 6 million votes (popular vote count). A lot of people voted in 2020.
@yaneerbaryam Still no comment on Australia's new cases? It shows the boneheadedness of the zero covid policy. Imagine locking down every province on Earth to try to get to 0 covid. With all the false negatives and other hurdles covid would not disappear even in a 100 yrs.
Get real.
@yaneerbaryam Seems like you are ignoring the new outbreak in Australia yesterday. This highlights the fragility of the zero covid approach. It is not a meaningful strategy.

@yaneerbaryam@elonmusk If everybody in a country like the US got tested every day we would miss 30% of the cases? How does testing have an impact in such a scenario?
@nntaleb The US should get out of Afghanistan for because of (1) but (2) and (3) are dubious at best. The Afghan citizen wasn't necessarily better off before 2001 (actually much worse off).
Get out because the costs do not justify the gains in Afghanistan. (1/2)
@MaajidNawaz@tedcruz You only dispute things that are reasonably disputable. Say a 500 vote difference in a tipping point state like Florida in 2000. When you have lost multiple states by tens of thousands of votes then disputing is irresponsible, childish and a waste of national resources.
