I find this to be a little far-fetched. In the 21st century, we have access to everything including our credit scores. Manufacturers and consumer protection laws require dealers to post discounts, incentives, including captive lender rates and terms. Most of the car manufacturers are offering low APR/short-term loans on new vehicles through banks like GM Financial, Toyota Motor Credit, etc. Most dealers will jump at a cash deal because it is a very quick transaction that moves the metal and gets them closer to manufacturers' payouts for monthly and quarterly sales. Stay educated people and know how and where to shop. IMO
