@anabailaoTO T.O's woes are a symptom of larger changes to the economy which are outside the City's powers. Failure to recognize that is a red flag. "Fixing city services" is important but doesn't provide the "opportunities". Most opportunities now go to those who need them least. #structural

@JaroGiesbrecht @PierrePoilievre With FPTP, parties get "safe ridings" & total power w/less than 40% from small shifts in swing ridings. Voters get minority rule & unequal votes. Less than 50% of voters who vote routinely elect anyone. Some go their whole lives w/o electing a rep.

@JaroGiesbrecht @PierrePoilievre Harris is missing one central point. Foreign & domestic manipulators (remember in/out?) would have no incentives were it not for first-past-the-post voting. Bring in proportional representation and the incentive is gone. But neither Libs or Cons will democratize Canada.
