Firmware 3.12 is up. The last week has been a bit hectic for firmware updates getting ready for the Hector launch (on Monday). We're hoping to start shipping pre-order Hectors out on Friday or Monday
Had some good testing time with Hector on Sunday. The new interface for our port of Tides now works. It's going to be a big week of firmware updates...
I've just finished the euclidean sequencer module that'll be in the next Beebo & Hector update. The first batch of Hectors has sold out but I've just put up the second batch. The first batch will be shipping on the 10th of August. The firmware update will be out later this week.
We've got enough stuff setup in the new workshop to be building Hector and Beebo units, and the LCD panels we were waiting on have now arrived. The first pre-order batch of Hector has sold out. We'll have another batch up next week.
We're getting some new toys at the new workshop. This is a big CNC router getting moved in on little skates, which I didn't even know was a thing. Unloading it was a bit of a challenge.
We've just moved to a new workshop and the fist thing we did was sing a bit there, play some guitar and record some IRs. We are a bit behind with replying to emails as we've been moving stuff that last few days and so far we haven't got anything unpacked but we'll be back to it
Firmware 3.4 is up that fixes some bugs with the Loopler regarding saving loopler settings, MIDI learn and also when having multiple twist delays. I'm going to be doing a YouTube live stream at Wednesday 6:30 pm Pacific, 9:30 East coast, Thursday 11:30 am Australia
Firmware 3.3 is now up. This is the first version to included the Loopler, a fully featured looper which will in the future include sampling features. USB MIDI is now supported for input and output. We have also rewritten the module browser to make it easier to find modules
Here's a look at the updated Loopler UI running on Hector. We've got all the parts for Hector after navigating the global chip shortage and we'll be shipping Hector units late this month or early next month. #eurorack
We've been busy last week on Loopler testing and lots of work on Hector! I've had a few questions about MIDI control so here's an example of using the CV to MIDI CC module to control some @chaseblissaudio pedals.
Thanks to everyone who's testing the looper, I've fixed the the reported bugs and I'll have a new version up soon for testing. I'm also polishing a few other things, there's a new UI for the granular & twist delay,
The looper is getting pretty close to usable now, all commands / params can be bound to MIDI, features like threshold start, sync options, per loop feedback options, pretty progress bars for loops, It'll need a little more testing before it's ready but hopefully not too far away
It's back to lock down here in Melbourne so I'm not allowed back into the workshop for the next 5 days. Sorry for any delay in shipping units out. I also discovered an issue yesterday, if you've got a recent unit and you're having issues with MIDI out please contact me.
I forgot to mention that firmware 3.1 is now up. It fixes an issue with preset importing, MIDI pitch bend support and adds 29 new IRs. If you have any difficulty updating please contact me.
Firmware 3.0 is now up. The main change is that Digit & Beebo have merged. All Digit features are now available in Beebo. From now on there will be pink and blue Beebos for sale & just one firmware. All current units can be upgraded for free.
Usually this time of year I'd be showing things @thenammshow but we've still got news! This is Hector, our first #eurorack module. All the modules from Beebo & Digit in 30 HP. 6 in 8 out, all CV & audio capable + MIDI IO. Coming around March/April. I'll have some pedal news too
Thanks to everyone for the support this year! It's been a year with challenges but I'm really happy to see the community around the pedals and people making great music with them. Here's some the UI designs for the looper and euclidean sequencer that will be coming next year.
I've finally got some more aluminium from the anodiser after a long wait so units are shipping again. I've put up some more on the site for direct sale and they are going out to dealers. I've also got a few more silver units.
New firmware up. This shows the multi resonator module, a port of Rings by Mutable Instruments that was added in firmware 2.50. It's useful as a synth voice or as an effect. Here I show the sitar delay and chaos string presets. The sitar delay preset is played with my Tele.
