Happy Birthday to @JoEllenNotte as new book "In It Together" is now available! Get yourself a copy and if you appreciate it as much as I have, leave a review on Amazon to help others find this great resource.
I am eagerly awaiting @JoEllenNotte's new book to launch and buy for others in my life as I am reading my own copy from supporting on Indiegogo. Much appreciation and thanks for all the efforts that went into this book on dealing with depression, "In It Together." Alt text in pic

@AnonPolyamorous It's definitely a bit of self re-programming; you set your parameters. Even though there will be challenges, it's good to remind ourselves of our own agency in the course we chart. Hoping you get back to the Alpha Quadrant safely and soon.
@AnonPolyamorous Sending more good energy as you Captain your starship. I know you're handling conflicts among your internal bridge officers, but you'll chart a good course. No matter how much it feels like the Kobayashi Maru, you'll find a way through it all. π
@hellolanemoore Thank you for articulating so perfectly for those of us feeling/striving each day to make a world for all to have what we never received. I gladly join the many you've inspired and hope you're feeling the love from many who understand this path. Book ordered, impatiently waiting.
@erinstwitsexual This tweet really hits home. Here's hoping you feel that care and acceptance, even if the family you build is one across distance and digital oceans. By knowing what we need, we become that for others and in kind, build the world we all need. Sending good energy.
A long thread, but an important read for people who find they can't say no to others or identify as a "people pleaser." Signal boosting this in case it helps others.
I want to share what has been, in the last year or so, one of the most important things I've realized about my own trauma history β something that has been massively important for my own healing.
Let's talk about the link between people-pleasers and emotional abuse. π§΅
@PolyGalSeeks This is life goals in parenting. Also, make sure to check out new exhibit of T-Rex at AMNH. Just opened to public and meet the whole tyrannosaur family of sauropods.
@erinstwitsexual delays in providing what she seeks. You need time to finish your agenda tasks and giving you space is the fastest way to get attention to what she may have sent. Explaining through their self interest sometimes works, and repeat it as necessary.
@erinstwitsexual Ok, this is not sounding like an innocent incident. I would try saying that, in email, you cannot respond to texts at this time and she must use email if she wishes to share info, which you will address when the opportunity happens. Say that any texts, etc. will cause further...
@erinstwitsexual Trying to assume the best of this person that they don't realize the effect of their actions/words, maybe change can happen. If they are just mean in general, then keeping a record and requiring emails to "help you address their item and your work" may give you a breather.
@erinstwitsexual and I will address it as soon as I am able. Thank you in advance for discussing these items over email."
This starts paper record, if worker is rude, it is on record, and you can start a process to help them treat you in a better/more effective way.
@NewYorkCliche Also, many resumes read by machines now, so matching job specs even more important. Avoid irrelevant info to job specs. Cover letter can tell story and show personality. If need to fill space, include volunteer/internships, anything alined with job that can be backed up.
@NewYorkCliche While hobbies may offer insight into personality, the resume is likely part of first impression and has to be relevant to job (think re-working for every submission). It is valuable space that needs to show how fit their job specs. Be personal in cover letter. continued...
