📍 STEM for All, Doers Summit 2026

#Innovation, #technology and #digital policy were at the heart of discussions during the STEM for All summit, organised by @techislandcy and @WomenInTechOrg Cyprus in the context of the Doers Summit in Limassol.

The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy was represented by 👇

▶ Director of Digital Policy & Communications @PantziarouK , joining a vibrant discussion on “Regulate or Accelerate? Europe’s Approach to Innovation”, with particular reference to the role and work carried out so far in the context of the @CY2026EU
and
▶Director of Research & Innovation Dr Konstantinos Kleovoulou, who participated in the panel “Cyprus’ Innovation Bet”, highlighting the Government’s tools, structures and measures to advance AI innovation, create opportunities for the #Cyprus ecosystem and strengthen Cyprus’ posture as a fast-growing tech and innovation hub. A European Hub with a Global Outlook.

As part of the activities lined up for the DCO delegation visiting Cyprus, DCO met with Valentinos Polycarpou, Chairman of TechIsland.

DCO commended Techisland's proactive role in fostering an equitable digital economy, particularly through initiatives such as the Women in Tech Roundtable.

DCO and Techisland senior representatives emphasized their mutual commitment to accelerate digital economy growth and international cooperation, the two sides discussed potential collaborations to support startups and advance the country’s digital economy, which aligns with DCO's surgical approach to unleash the innovative potential of startups.

Great meeting with Mr. Valentinos Polykarpou, Chairman of TechIsland.
