A fan is rebuilding P.T. as a native Windows PC port, reportedly around 97% complete.
The developer is reverse-engineering the PS4 executable and rebuilding the game's logic and rendering in C++ and Vulkan, using original game data from the user's own copy.
The port already supports:
- The full game from the opening screen through the ending
- Original Lua scripts, traps, cutscenes, and Lisa's animations
- Rebuilt Fox Engine rendering, including shadows, reflections, motion blur, bloom, and volumetric fog
- Original Wwise audio, radio broadcasts, and controller vibration
- 60+ FPS instead of the PS4 version's 30 FPS lock
- Any resolution, plus mouse and keyboard
- DualSense, Xbox, and other controllers
- Optional AMD FSR 3.1
The developer is also comparing the PC port against the original PS4 version frame-by-frame to get as close to 1:1 as possible.
THINK I found a good workaround in pngtuber remix - made the animation just its one no loop gif as a state for that sitting part and then for quicker expressions, a state is just a blink png. Now I just need to use streamerbot to automatically trigger things 🤔
No matter how hard you try, you'll always end up stumbling into AI at some point. And that happened to me this week. Sadly with my debut no less.
I apologize, the background I used for my just-chatting turns out it was AI and I had no idea. It was a mistake and I should have looked more carefully, but I missed the mark.
I'm very sorry, as I support real artist thick-and-through! But through exhaustion and prep, I missed the mark.
I've already gotten a new background through VGen now for the remaining October streams! I'm just sad that my outfit debut had such a thing involved.
I'm sorry that happened, and while it wasn't intentional and I missed it, I still take responsibility and will be more careful when getting things together!
To everyone, always double check, especially for pre-made assets. Sometimes they don't have an AI disclaimer, or if they do, it's often buried deep in the text like mine was.
Thank you all for understanding! An honest mistake but one I still wanted to address. 💙
@Sevlore Congrats on a whole year! I'm so glad I found your community and y'all welcomed in my weird self! Hope you get to keep doing vtubing far into the future! :D
