Patronage and nepotism exacerbate inequality and poverty in Malawi –particularly among the youth, who are the usual victims of extortion that exist in both private and public offices.
An increased awareness on issues of extortion at community level and an empowered and resilient community that is able to address issues that lead to extortion is our goal. #ADCmeeting#GIresilience#Breakathesilence#Reportextortion
Also present, were different media houses that promised to be in the forefront in ensuring that the information about extortion among young people is presented accurately and without bias and to protect the interests of malawians in obtaining knowledge concerning extortion.
With the help of the law enforcement officers who were present at the awareness campaign we provided sufficient evidence available to the people for them to justify reasonable beliefs about the state of extortion in their communities. #BreakTheSilence#Reportextortion
