We have said goodbye to our Chinese friends. It was a pleasure to host 3 schools from the Hebei province. We were overwhelmed by the gifts we received @PontHigh@PeleTrust
Pele trust students and staff about to board flight to Beijing for the student ambassadors’ programme. We’re very excited!! @PontHigh@PeleTrust@PeleTrustCEO
Thank you to the staff and students at @NYO_GB for providing so many inspiring opportunities for our students around school today. Look out for us on BBC1 Look North at 6.30pm tonight.
Our ‘try something new’ charity day was an incredible success today. We have raised nearly 2000 pounds for @BrainTumourOrg . Well done to all staff and students involved.
@jewell_p_rhodes Emmett Till's story is a huge part of the emotional side of the book as what he went through is unimaginable and should never happen to a young child. Without people like you showing this racism is cannot be fixed. Olivia
@jewell_p_rhodes I really liked this book as it showed the challenges some young black children have went through for no reason except there skin colour. It’s very moving as it’s the truth and it’s sad that many people have got away with the horrible things they have done.Olivia
@jewell_p_rhodes thank you so much for writing this book, It was a very inspiring story and you have inspired me to start writing a story about something I feel passion for. Lily
@jewell_p_rhodes This book spreads the word of racism and how this should not be tolerated. Which is a really good help to show people how bad it can be. Leyla
@jewell_p_rhodes I found your book inspiring because it teaches people about racism and the issues that come from it. It encourages people to be a good and kind person to everyone and to make a positive difference. Luke
