The Pontiac Public Library will be closed Saturday, November 11th in honor of Veteran's Day. We are open today, Friday, November 10th.

Did you know November is International Games Month? In celebration we will have board games and cards available to play with every Thursday evening in November (except Thanksgiving Day) from 5-7pm. Bring your family and have a game night at the library!

Tomorrow, 10/5, is the Oakland County MDHHS & Pontiac Public Library's Trunk or Treat in the library parking lot! Bring out your kids for free candy, cider, donuts, and more between 5 and 7pm. Halloween costumes encouraged.

Next Thursday, October 5th, is the Oakland County's MDHHS and Pontiac Public Library's free Trunk or Treat event! Come out rain or shine to the library parking lot between 5pm-7pm for free events, crafts, cider, donuts, and lots of candy! Halloween costumes are encouraged.

Did you know we have a free video game tournament for middle and high school students this Saturday at 2pm? If your kids like NBA 2K22 they can compete in a tournament to see who the best player in Pontiac is. We will have snacks, drinks, and a prize. Registration is required.

Out Thursday evening Sports classes are cancelled for today on account of heavy rain. We hope to see everyone next Thursday for our final sports class of the summer.

Middle and high school students can get a hands on no bake experience during tomorrow's weekly Let's Make Art Class at 1pm! We'll be creating tasty creations using ingredients supplied by the library and a microwave to cook our mug recipes!

Our free sports fundamentals program continues tonight at 5pm. Kids in grades 1-6 can learn fundamentals of football, basketball, t-ball, or cheerleading.

August is a bonus borrows month from Hoopla. Check out items that don't count against the total checkouts for the month. Hoopla is a free digital service you can access with your library card for e-books, audiobooks, comics, movies, and more!

Middle and high school students should join us tomorrow for Let's Make Art! A weekly program on Tuesday afternoons at 1pm where we create something together. Tomorrow we will be painting with squirt guns!

We had so much fun yesterday during our field trip to Belle Isle Park for Metro Detroit Youth Day. We can't wait to go again next year.

The library is going to Metro Detroit Youth Day on Wednesday, July 12th and we want you to join us! This fun free event is for kids ages 8-15. A signed parent permission slip is required. We leave at 8am on a bus meeting in the library parking lot.

Metro Detroit Youth Day is almost here. There are plenty of fun free activities for kids ages 8-15. We must have a signed parent permission slip by Tues, Jul 11th for your child to participate. If we don't have a permission slip by 5:00pm on Tues, the 11th your child can't go.
