Everyone has the right to protest.
No one should have the right to hijack national events with amplified noise and deliberate disruption.
Steve Bray’s antics are a national embarrassment. I have written to Met Police Commissioner Mark Rowley to ask what can be done to stop it.
Millennial Potash Chairman Farhad Abasov shares his latest Op-Ed in @Mining.
The piece looks at why Gabon's Atlantic coast is attracting attention as a potential new source of potash supply and what that could mean for global fertilizer markets.

Keir Starmer has gone because he confused winning a general election with having an agenda for government.
My mission to Get Britain Working is different. I know what needs to change. More importantly, I know how to do it and I have taken the time to do the work so that it actually happens.

@soron47 ? That line of thinking seems to presume the company would be focused on solving the shorts’ problem. It has more than enough cash in its Treasury to see it through 2026 with several pending milestones. Those shorts will need to cover in the market.
@CDhonnchaidh@ZacGoldsmith The vast majority of Israelis don’t agree with the premise of your post, that what is happening in Gaza is ‘ethnic cleansing’ (nor does a sober reading of international law agree). Amalek does not mean what you infer. It simply refers to historic enemy of the ancient Israelites
This is a significant result, and I want to start by congratulating @DLumsden_MSP on becoming the new Member of Parliament for Aberdeen South and the newest Conservative MP!
Makerfield was about one man’s job.
Aberdeen South was about thousands of jobs in oil and gas across our country and the future of an entire city.
Yesterday, the people of Aberdeen sent a message on behalf of the whole country. Energy security is national security. They know it is common sense to use our own oil and gas rather than importing it from overseas. They know it is madness to make ourselves poorer, weaker and more dependent at a time when even the government’s own intelligence says we are under threat. The first duty of any government is to keep its people safe. The Conservative Party will always put Britain’s security first.
What makes this result particularly significant is that many people who voted Conservative today have never voted Conservative before. I want to thank every one of them.
Many will have voted for us because they care deeply about Aberdeen and its future. Many will have voted for us because they are sick of the SNP’s shenanigans. Others because they are worried about what Labour’s policies mean for their jobs and livelihoods. Many voted for us because they wanted a strong local champion.
Douglas is that champion. He has lived in Aberdeen all his life. He spent two decades working in the oil and gas industry. He knows this city, he knows its people, and throughout this campaign he brought energy, optimism and a genuine belief in Aberdeen’s future. Wherever he went, he had a smile on his face and a positive message about what this great city can achieve.
The Conservative Party is working to earn the trust of the country again. I am grateful and humbled that Aberdeen looked at the choice before them and decided that the Conservative Party was the party that would fight for families, workers and business.
Thank you, Aberdeen. I will never stop fighting for you. Douglas will never stop fighting for you.
The Conservative Party will keep fighting for common sense, a stronger economy and a stronger country.
@Silver__Santa Market won’t be ready for upcoming FS. PEA show great numbers already but the FS will be much better. Still trading below 0.1 x NPV5 (gold 3885 copper 4.80)
The feeling of betrayal amongst all those extraordinarily brave young Iranians who risked (and tens of thousands of whom lost) life and limb must be off the scale.
Trump directly encouraged them to put their lives on the line and solemnly promised them his support, only to abandon them completely.
It is something people everywhere feared Trump would do, but it is particularly cruel all the same.

BHP takes $2.3bn write-down on Jansen potash.
BHP pushed phase two production to the end of 2031, after the latest cost overrun lifted the expansion price to $6.9bn from $4.9bn.
Combined with Anglo American slowing Woodsmith in 2024 amid a restructuring and merging with Teck, (raising doubts it proceeds at all), two of the largest new greenfield potash sources keep getting deferred.
Tighter forward supply supports the long-term price support that junior project's economics like Banio are built on.

The brain rot runs so deep with antisemites, but for what it’s worth:
Around 1 million Jews fled Arab and other Muslim-majority countries from 1948 to the 70s as a consequence of expulsions, discriminatory laws and violence.
For example in Egypt in 1956 thousands of Jews were expelled after the Suez Crisis; many receiving notices ordering them to leave within days and having property seized.
In Libya in 1967 anti-Jewish violence and govt pressure pushed the remaining Jewish population out.
In Iraq in 1950–51, Jews were pushed to leave through denaturalization and asset confiscation laws causing almost the entire community to rapidly depart.
In Yemen, widespread hostility and violence led to the mass departure of nearly the entire Jewish community.
In Algeria in 1962 after independence and the departure of French rule, almost the entire Jewish community fled amid insecurity & loss of legal protections
Most of these Jews fled to Israel, which was and remains the only safe place for Jews

I'm bullish on gold, but I'm trying to hedge in case the market turns bearish. Did you know that P2 Gold's Gabbs project ($PGLD.V) would generate around $400 million USD in annual operating margin with gold at $3,000 USD per ounce? The current market cap is $134 million.
If gold eventually reaches $6,000 USD, the operating margin would reach $1 billion USD annually (which is why I think P2 Gold is a multibagger).
In short, if gold were to fall to $3,000 USD, many exploration and development companies would aggressively dilute their shareholders. Many companies would go bankrupt because they couldn't raise equity. But there are others that, even in that pessimistic scenario, would still generate $400 million USD per year in operating margin.
