This must be surprising news to the ABS.

The ABS’s official data on overseas migration shows that when Labor was elected in Q2 2022 (June 2022), net migration was 207.9k.

The latest ABS data shows net migration at 311.0k.

It has therefore risen 49.6% since the quarter Labor was elected — yet Ali is claiming it has fallen 45%.
