Brahmins exploited women in the name of so-called Sanatanam Dharma. Manuwaad designed it. Golwalkar praised it.

In Kerala, Namboodiri Brahmin men practised "Sambandham" - temporary sexual alliances with Nair women. No marriage, no rights for the woman or her children. The children stayed in the mother's matrilineal Nair tharavad while Brahmin men walked away.

This was systematic exploitation in the name of religion and custom.

And who defended it? Former RSS chief Golwalkar himself praised Sambandham, claiming it "improved the Nair breed".

A PERSONAL NOTE: Completed my SIR exercise yesterday . Relief, yes, but also unease. If I found the documentation stressful, imagine the ordeal for those with limited means who must scramble for papers that aren’t easy to access. At least Delhi votes only in 2029/2030. Spare a thought for the lakhs in Bihar and Bengal who faced SIR on the eve of elections and lost out. @ECISVEEP — and yes, the Supreme Court — have serious questions to answer . The right to vote is not a privilege. It is every Indian citizen’s constitutional right.🙏
