basically
Can't have it both ways
Folks shouting "See, Becky was right!!!" in 2024 and 2025, etc... now claiming, "Becky was just relaying history..." lol
Also, as an aside, Hammon had two weeks to graciously congratulate Brunson. She didn't even acknowledge the Knicks' victory until the Aces traveled to New York.
@thestoptv The man sitting right beside her when she said that dumb shit believed and called her out on the spot and she double down. You can take your cape off.
"I have a philosophy, can I tell you my philosophy?!"
Now it's "all he did was prove history wrong"
No, Becky
HE PROVED YOU WRONG
The fact you don't have the heart to say you were wrong just speaks to the type of person you are
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard
You go out of your way to say Jalen Brunson is not "the dude"...you double down and say the Knick can't win a championship w/him
And when proven wrong you claim he's just an outlier?
This has set back female sports commentary 100 years
@Ankamagyimi___ So “Knicks don’t have a dude” has what to do with theory? She made a comment specifically about Brunson not being a 1A even when Perk said he was she argued him down and made pompous facial expressions and gestures. But she is a woman, so of course she blame it on “history” 🤣
@Alexisfromvegas A woman, no accountable, semantics based answer if I ever seen one. She said Knicks didn’t have a dude, said Brunson wasn’t an 1A. What the hell does that have to do with history? History didn’t say that. She did. We will still be on her ass until she takes account and 🤷🏽♂️
@pamsson And that’s why her ass would never make it as an NBA head coach. Could you imagine her being wrong about a scheme or strategy and using semantics to not be accountable. they would laugh her ass out of town as fast Adrian griffin and David blatt.
Here's the issue with Becky Hammon hiding behind: I'm not going to aplogize b/c it was just an opinion...
Her original statement (even before she started moving the goal posts) was not presented as merely an opinion.
She made a statement.
Hammon said, plainly, that the Knicks "don’t have a dude."
She stated, “They don’t have enough personnel, they don’t have the manpower."
“You gotta have a dude, you gotta have a 1A dude, and they’re missing that at the end of the day if we’re just getting down to brass tacks."
Those were the words she used.
“He too small,” she declared when Perk brought up Brunson.
Not, "I think the Knicks will struggle because..."
Not, "They are mising that, in my opinion."
Or, "I don't think Brunson is a 1A dude."
She made definite statements that proved to be false.
@tschwartz09 She said that Jalen wasn’t a 1A. What does what Jalen is have to do with history. She was wrong and you can take off the cape. And I’m a lakers fan so miss me with only Knicks fans know she was dead ass wrong and Perk corrected her on the spot.
ESPN sources: TE Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons reached agreement today on a three-year, $54 million contract that includes $36 million fully guaranteed. It is the largest three-year contract for a tight end in NFL history. David Mulugheta of Athletes First and Andre Odom confirmed the deal.
