Gotta be honest, this @ufc event at the White House looks spectacular. This is a big time show. I’m not there, and we all know all the complaints folks had about renovations at and around the White House, etc, but — to be fair — this is some impressive stuff I’m looking at. Props to UFC President @danawhite and the show they’ve put on. It’s Bigtime. Plain and simple!!!
Consider all of the blatant lies that activists tell about cases we’ve all lived through. Cases where there’s video and forensic evidence disproving their claims. Think about how the false narratives spread anyway and eventually become mainstream orthodoxy. Now go back and consider every supposed racist atrocity from decades or centuries ago. Every “innocent” minority wrongfully persecuted by racist whites. I’m not saying that all of those stories aren’t true. I’m saying that you can’t assume that they are true. If they can lie about the stuff we all witnessed with our own eyes, imagine what they can do with the things none of us witnessed.
The Venn diagram between people who think you should get fired for using the R word and people who think you should be able to euthanize your child if it has Down syndrome is almost a circle
Whenever Nick Fuentes notices the deficit between what is promised and what is given by the GOP, Steven Crowder points to the invariably worse Democrats. They have one move when faced with the critique: point to the Democrats and contrive an unfalsifiable counterfactual scenario.
It is a good rhetorical demonstration of every election cycle and the thinking that motivates it. If the long-term outcome of choosing “the least bad option” were on the ballot, no one would opt for it, but having heard the GOP’s “doomsday prophecy should the Democrats win,” they’ll line up to vote for Republicans without hesitation.
“This is the most important election of our lifetime” is a cattle prod used to corral gullible voters into the party pen. It is an unfalsifiable statement because, once decided, the results of the upcoming election remain yet to be seen. The country is always on the brink of destruction until Republicans swoop in to do nothing—which is itself heralded as an accomplishment. Constituents are expected to turn out as if “apocalypse in four years” were a certain possibility, but Republican lawmakers are excused from governing as if this were the case.
In 125 years we went from a country that could string up horse thieves to:
"We're sorry this Haitian refugee raped and killed your daughter but his IQ is too low for him to understand what he did wrong."
How can @MrJerryOC be so cool on PMT and then just be such a douche on other podcasts. Like stick to mumbling about you fantasy team and enough with the beta pussy politics
